Academic

Course content and assignments are aligned with the PA state standards.

Lessons are designed to incorporate multiple instructional methods/techniques as well as to address different learning styles. Courses have online resources to accomplish lesson objectives. Lessons also have assessments designed to gauge student's understanding of the course objectives.

Students and their parents/guardians will work with the CVA Director and/or their counselor to establish proper placement in courses.  At the middle and high school level, considerations for placement will be previous courses and grades, credits earned, relevant assessments, graduation requirements, and career/educational goals.

Each course has a teacher who will serve as the first point of contact to provide academic support to the student.

Students as well as parents/guardians have daily access to student progress through the learning management system.

Students are required to take all state mandated assessments based on the student's grade placement.
