The first step for enrollment, is to click here to complete the Enrollment Request Form. A CVA director or mentor will reach out to discuss the CVA program and answer questions.
Once enrollment is confirmed, the CVA director will work with the parents and students to establish proper placement in the grade level and specific courses. At the middle and high school levels, considerations for placement will include previous courses and grades, credits earned, and other relevant assessments, graduation requirements, and career/education goals.
Students will be assigned a CASD mentor to introduce students and parents to the virtual academy, access content and learning management systems, as well as review processes and procedures for the duration of the school year. Throughout the school year, the mentor will have regular communication with the family to disseminate material, monitor progress, provide connections to support services for academics, counseling, library, health, and technology related needs.
